2007 21st Place Apostle Island 8 Dog Pro

Our handler Elizabeth Mills ran this team and did great job with them. Her first day was a challenge so she made some adjustments for the second day and increased her pace by 14 minutes. It is great to have her back on the runners with us as she had a life threatening medical concern this past fall. She had the courage to get back on the runners and just did a beautiful job with this team. All the dogs drank and ate after both runs. No injuries are present and all the dogs wore booties.

Arwen started the first day in lead and was pulled during the race. Elizabeth said it appeared all the passing was shaking her up. She placed her in team and she rebounded well.

Sparrow ran in team and lead the first day. Once she was put in lead Elizabeth's run started smoothing out and she was able to pass some teams back and stay in front of them. This was Sparrow's first time running lead in a race. Sparrow ran team on the second day and was on.
