*2007 Open North American Championship Team

Finished 19 out of 27 starters for my rookie run. I've long thought the North American was one of the most excited races in the sport. Thanks to Mark Hartum for the last minute loan of Beach and Oreo, two solid race veterans who ran all 3 days. Had a blast on day 1: Lost the team and a lot of time while dealing with a tangle on day 2. Day 3 was a clean run, passed everyone who started ahead of us, but it wasn't enough to recover much from day 2. All the yearlings and two year olds finished strong, and I'm counting days until next year. ". . . working like a devil the game ain't changed, its just up on another level." -Bob Dylan
... Dazzle-2004 (F) (L)
Lead all 3 days. Very sweet, very happy. I think Split might have been setting the pace, but Dazzle was the dog putting it on the line when I called them up.
... Hex-2004 (M)
Wheel all 3 days: A nice mellow dog who isn't freaked out by running next to a maniac.
... Bella-2005 (F) (L)
Bella's set to be my back up leader if Split or Dazzle aren't doing the job. A beautiful little yearling, she's still shy around new things. I expect to see this girl up front a lot more in the future. 3 day dog. Flawless each day.
... Tehran-2005 (F)
Swing all 3 days. My idea of the perfect dog. The ONAC is exactly where she belongs.
... Karkor-2005 (M)
This guy is going to grow up to be very good. Team all 3 days. No problems at all.
... Tuffy-1999 (M)
Mother: Anja E. Ellis
Dropped after day 1: We we're going a bit faster than normal and he wasn't struggling but it didn't look like he was having fun either. It was nice to have an old pro along for the first run.
