2012 Midnight Run - Red Lantern Team
Well - Our first race in several years did not go as well as planned. During the first leg, one dog went down with a possible ulcer and another had a sore shoulder from some of the soft snow conditions. Merlyn decided to do the 2nd leg anyway, since many of our dogs have not ever done a race, let alone a 90 miler. 2nd leg was much better - dogs were happy, and they even made up almost 30 minutes and only finished last by 5 minutes or so.
