2017 9th Place Copper Dog 150

Super fun race with super tough competition as always!!! All but one of my 6 females on the team were in heat so ran all the girls in the front of the team:) Trails were beautiful, a bit warm but with strong headwinds on the last leg. Ran all ten dogs the first leg, then eight dogs day 2 and 3, moving up to 6th place over all on the 2nd day but dropping to finish 9th overall on the 3rd day due to having to slow down on the 2nd half of the run for a sore dog that would not be loaded after multiple attempts:)

Due to all but one of my six females being in heat at this race I ran the males in the back of the team so Vader wasn't in lead at all at this race but drove hard as always back in the team:) Dropped him off the team for the 3rd day as he had a sore wrist from the 2nd day. Tough dog!!

Ran 1st and 3rd legs and gave it his all, just fantastic! Got derailed by a sore muscle but refused to be loaded despite my multiple best attempts to wrestle him in the bag. Always lunged forward ready to go still pulling so had to slow our pace down halfway through the 3rd leg to limp on in:) Tough dog!

Ran all three legs and did great! A tad off on the first leg struggling with a bit of diarrhea but driving like normal 2nd and 3rd days! Such a powerhouse!!

Viva ran lead all three days with Tamar and did super! She is the best at training young leaders!! Never gets injured either, just a great dog!

Ran lead all three days!!! Her first race ever in lead at two years of age and she did absolute fantastic! Didn't blink an eye at all the road crossings or passing, very impressed with this young girl!

Ran in point 1st and 2nd legs, was a bit sore after day two so stayed on the trailer. What a hard driving little dynamo! First race and handled it like a pro, very impressed with all three yearling sisters they did awesome and gave it their all!!!

Katniss was bouncing off the walls of the trailer before the race so was thankful to put that energy onto the trail finally! Happy bouncy, hard driving girl, she gave it her all, ran all three legs like a pro!
