2016 3rd Place Midnight Run 8-Dog 90 Miles

Had a great time at the MNR! Trails were awesome, running along the lake with the open water and big waves crashing into the shoreline, shooting up into the air, was exhilarating!! Its always an exciting race with the downtown start and fans lining the trail cheering!!! Keep having hitches in our giddy-up this year though and ended up having to load a dog towards the end of each leg which hurt our race but thats just how it goes sometimes:) Finished in 3rd about 5 minutes from 2nd with 6 dogs in harness and one in the bag:) Very proud of all the dogs, they pulled their hearts out!!!

Hawk was fast, focused and driving the whole way until he got waylaid by a sore shoulder and had to be loaded in the sled. Missed having him on the 2nd leg:(

Ran lead the whole race and what an incredible dog!!! Huge heart on this boy as he about pulls it out driving so hard!!! Flawless on commands and always ravenous!!! Love this dog he is such a super star!!!

Venture adds such power and speed to the team! Always trying to pick the pace up!!! So relaxed the vets wonder if he is alive when they check his heart rate:) He even tries to hook their legs with his paws to hold them near him for more attention silly boy:)
