2015 5th Place Copper Dog 150

We had a GREAT time at the Copper Dog!!!! The weather was absolutely perfect and beautiful!!! That first night on the trail with the 3/4 moon shining so brightly was unforgettably lovely!!! We had some great runs placing 5th the first leg, 5th the second (moving up to 4th overall) and 5th the 3rd led ending up with 5th place overall!! The competition is as always at this race, very tough and I was really just hoping to place in the top ten! The dogs did fantastic and with Vader and Hawk setting a driving pace in lead we had 3 very consistent runs putting us over some excellent teams!!! The team finished very strong and happy!! Also was extremely honored to be awarded the Best Cared for Team Award!!!! What a great end to an amazing season, so proud of my dogs and how well they did at every race! Sad the race season is over but looking forward to next year!!!

Hawk again ran lead the whole race setting a fast pace up there with Vader! They make a great team!!! Very smart dog and gee'd over to run tight on the right when I wanted him too!!! Tireless athletic boy!!!

Layla ran back in the team with Viva as they were both in heat as I was trying to keep them away from the boys:) She did great!!! Loping tirelessly and screaming to go after we crossed the finish line back in Calumet after three days of racing! Smallest dog on the team (and oldest) but has a big heart!!

Viva is always awesome!!! Ran her back in the team the whole race with Layla as they were both in heat and I wanted to keep them away from the boys:) She has proven herself to be a superstar leader!!

Bittersweet run with Vashti as it was our last race together before she headed west to Austin Fornay's kennel. She was one of my strongest finishers, a driven dynamo always, just a great dog!!!
