2011 8th Place Wolftrack Classic 6-Dog

I always look forward to heading back to my old and much beloved hometown of Ely, MN for the WolfTrack Classic Sled Dog Race!!! Seeing family and friends that we rarely get to see is so much fun and time always goes by too quickly!!! We managed to place 8th and averaged 12.3 mph. All my dogs finished very strong and happy!! Even though things didn't go as planned I still had a great time running the trail and congrats to my vet Clayton for his third consecutive win!!! What a fun race and a great group of people!!! Talon is the man and drove powerfully in lead the whole way!!! Passed like a pro, focused and driving, perfect on commands... what a dog!! MVP again!! Only wished I could have raced him more this season!

Haley ran lead for the first time at a race and did it like a pro!!! She wasn't fazed by anything, drove hard and was super on passing and commands! I was very proud of her, last year at this race she was my spare dog and the vet who is a friend commented that I had a pretty small "spare tire" :) She may be small but she makes up for that in a big way!
