2009 Tcsdr 1st Place Team

I chose to go with the same team as last year and they didn't disappoint. These guys have tremendous power and it really came in handy as they just powered through a very tough, soft trail. We think the run was actually much better this year due to the trail conditions. Only 13 minutes slower, but alot harder. Max and Mary turned it on and led this team to victory again. MVP - Billy; this guy is unreal in tough conditions and never stops!
... Mary-2004 (F) (L)
Mother: Sue
We're learning that Mary is a race dog. She was amped to go and just never stopped. She performed way beyond what she was giving us in training and I wasn't disappointed. She was all business and handled a large degree of head on passing with no issue.
... Pepper-2005 (M) (L)
Pepper helped tremendously keeping the pressure off the leaders with his non-stop effortless loping. He makes this stuff look easy in any conditions.
... Mikka-2005 (F) (L)
This gal is a fluid speedster that never stops loping despite the conditions. She's proven to have a tough head and she was right there with all the big boys.
... Blizzard-2003 (M) (L)
These were Blizzards conditions....TOUGH and he showed up and powered through the snow along side Bill. Never stopped loping.
... Quest-2003 (M) (L)
Ran point and didn't have his greatest performance. He had really sore feet going in and the conditions were not conducive to booties and he struggled with his footing. However, he hung in there and gave me everything he could manage.
... Billy-2003 (M) (L)
It was hard to pick an MVP on this team, but I decided it was Billy. He just powers through the snow and never stopped for 43 miles. He's an awesome dog to race.
... Maximus-2003 (M) (L)
Max was a machine. He drove hard and helped elevate the speed when the team was getting sick of the deep snow. He is a force to be reckoned with!
... Ivan-2004 (M) (L)
Ivan was the right choice for these conditions. He's no speedster, but he knows how to work and he helped us power up the hills.
