2008 Wyoming Ipsssdr Team

This race tested our dogs to their limits and we learned that we have one tough group of dogs! They performed beautifully despite the conditions and gave us more than we could have expected in these conditions. 6th Place
... Mary-2004 (F) (L)
Mother: Sue
Ran 5 of 8 stages and led 3 of the toughest stages. What a phenom she is! She was exhausted, but held her head & just kept going and going.
... Pepper-2005 (M) (L)
Ran 4 of 8 stages and was on the 3rd place Alpine leg. He is a gifted and constant loper and continued to run hard even when he was tired. This was only his 2nd race and we predict he'll be leading us next year. Potential superstar.
... Indigo-2001 (F) (L)
Ran 5 of 8 stages and led 3. She's the oldest dog on the team and still rock and rolled. She led the team to top finishes in stages 7 & 8 and was on the 3rd place Stage 6 team. She is our best gee/haw leader with a real hard head and innate desire to drive.
... Oly-2005 (M) (L)
Ran 5 of 8 stages and proved that he is a tough guy running through very sore feet. He has proved to be durable and tough headed.
... Mikka-2005 (F) (L)
Ran 6 of 8 stages and has proven to be a tireless everyday dog. When it's time to go her attitude is over the top.
... Toppi-2005 (M)
Ran 3 of 8 stages and wanted more, but we were protecting him from a minor injury during fall training. He ripped the window out of his box becuase he wanted to go so bad. When he ran Bruce said he was an absolute menance tearing up the trail. JR saw him coming all legs flying and knew the dog meant business. He is a race dog for sure!
... Cracker-2003 (F) (L)
Ran 5 of 8 stages and some of the toughest ones. She is our go to girl when we need a crack gee/haw leader. She ran through very sore feet.
... Tanya-2004 (F) (L)
Ran 4 of 8 stages and took over lead in Lander. We call her Itty Bitty, but there is a whole lot of dog in that small package and she really showed up!
... Blizzard-2003 (M) (L)
Ran 5 of 8 stages and one of our best. He ran 4 of the toughest stages back to back and just never quit. Him and Billy in team are a vision of pure power.
... Dickens-2002 (M) (L)
Mother: Paige T. Killam
Ran 4 of 8 stages and we're glad we brought him. He proved an asset in 3 of the toughest stages and was in the 3rd place stage 6 team. High attitude that loves to race and get the team amped!
... Quest-2003 (M) (L)
Ran 4 of 8 stages and could have easily ran more but it just didn't work out that way. He ran the 3 toughest stages and kept a high attitude. Everyday, realiable dog!!
... Billy-2003 (M) (L)
Ran 6 of 8 stages and proved to be a tough headed leader that kept the team going in extreme winds, deep snow and grueling climbs. He was our MVP!
... T.J.-2003 (F) (L)
Ran 5 of 8 stages and led 1. This dog is tireless and kept a high attitude everyday.
... Maximus-2003 (M) (L)
Ran 3 of 8 stages, which was an under use of a great dog. He lead the 3 toughest stages and performed beautifully. He never got to show what he was made of because he is our throttle and can put it down on hard trails; however, he proved to have other strengths driving through tough weather.
... Ivan-2004 (M) (L)
Ran 4 of 8 stages and gave us 100% He had a minor fluke injury most likely from taking the gangline on his elbows during a spill. He is a monster on line & is worth his weight in gold climbing mountains!
... Shiner-2005 (M) (L)
Ran 5 of 8 stages in his 2nd race ever! He is a durable little dynamo that has high attitude and is always ready to perform. After grueling stages you can see him jumping 3 feet in the air the next day at the start.
