Twiggy, Black Beauty, Breck and a group of 7 other dogs were purchased by Rick Mackey from Gopher (Edmund) Lord. Gopher is a long time musher from Nenana, AK. He had been training yearlings for George Attla and Greg Taylor. Breck was the only dog Rick kept from this group. Lance purchased Twiggy and Black Beauty. They became two of his foundation females.
