Cricket is the best cat ever! She was a rescue... supposedly was somewhat feral until someone live trapped her and her mother and brought them to the Ely Vet Clinic. I fell in love with her at first sight, and though we hadn't had any cats in years... I was able to convince my parents they needed a good mouser at the resort:) She is fearless and will sit just out of reach of the sled dogs at the edge of the dog yard, calmly watching while the dogs go nuts:) We absolutely ADORE her, she is the perfect cat, very loving and sweet, follows us around... I guess she is more like a dog then a cat:)

Sabre (Int'l. Ch. T'Sabre de l'Etoile du Nord CD, CGC) is a 7 yr. old Beauceron that is currently our only house dog. He is a very loyal family dog, and is very intelligent, athletic and versatile. We have had fun training/competing is many different venues (such as obedience, agility, tracking, herding, dog sledding and conformation) together although less now that we live in Canada, far from dog shows:) He is a good guard dog, the breed having been originally bred for hunting bear, boar, and deer, then turned to herding and being a livestock guardian in France. Sabre is my companion and protector on all our long walks together in the bush, and I soon hope to add another house dog/companion to our menagerie next spring, an Irish Setter puppy:)
