2008 12th Place Up 200

Running this race turned out to be the biggest challenge as of yet for this group of dogs. We were hoping for a bit better finish in the placings, but welcome to sleddog racing. We are proud of the finishers and the ones that did not finish. We are looking forward to next year with possibly 11 of the 12 returning.

Our only veteran of this race. She won this race in lead in 2002. She was dropped at Wetmore upbound for a wrist problem.

One of our troopers. Theo was dropped in Deerton after a ride in the bag for about 4 miles. Deerton is about 16 miles from the finish. He was dropped for a sore shoulder. Sharon said he did great until he went lame in his front end.

Legolas was dropped at Wetmore downbound, about 180 miles into the race. He had a wrist problem.
