Saguenay (QC), Canada Brutal, hilly course. Spongebob powered us over the hills and passed everyone like a dream. Day 1: (2.5K) 9:10.14 - First finisher ahead of 2nd by :31 sec's Day 2 (6.1K) 21:48.25 - (5:45 Mile pace) First finisher ahead of 2nd by 1:04 total time :30:58.59 First Woman Finisher with 1:52 lead. First day race was 2.5k. Hilly but swampy, wet, rocky trail that didn't allow for super fast running speed (by the human!). Had to carefully pick the running line due to extremely poor footing. One minute staggered start. Time was 9:10.14. Established a 31 second lead.
Second day race was 6.1k. VERY hilly course. Was a mass start. Time was 21:28.25 (5:45 mile pace). Finished 64 seconds ahead of the second woman.
Final combined time was 30:58.59., 1:52 ahead of the second place finisher.
Spongebob passed exceptionally well and worked hard on all the hills. Very proud of this 16 month old Junior x Laredo 83 pounder.
