Hello! We are Rex and Krista Jones, owners of Arctic Paws Kennel. This year we moved from Alaska to our home state of Michigan. We currently maintain a professional kennel of proven Alaskan Husky, German Shorthair Pointer and Eurohound Breeds. Rex has raced professionally and we will all be traveling to races between here and Quebec this winter. Additionally, we have offered dog handling and racing instruction for children in Alaska since 1996.

Upon retiring from 22 years of service with the United States Army and Special Forces, Rex Jones founded Arctic Paws Kennel in memory of the displaced children he had met throughout his military career. Arctic Paws Kennel is dedicated to building the kind of confidence kids need to make it through whatever life may throw at them. Our school is funded by Rex's military retirement and uses business partners and private lessons to further assist in supporting free events for organizations helping kids.

In 2006 Rex coached Team USA at the Arctic Winter Games in Kenai. Currently he serves on the board of MUSH USA and we are members of the Michigan MUSH Club. Rex also works full-time in communications. Due to Rex's current work schedule, we have decided to offer a few more dogs up for sale. Please see our list. Every sale supports the school.
